OK strange radio problem...

When im driving along, or standing still idling, the radio will jsut cut out for no reason, and then come back on a gain a few seconds later. I've also noticed that after this happens, the engine spins up for a bit and then goes bck to normal idle. No ac is on, and no headlights etc.



I read somewhere else that this could be caused by a faulty grounding wire from the radio, but ive had it in since i bought the car 3 years ago, and this is the first time ive had this problem.
Im just wondering if anyone has any ideas or solutions for this?

have u got speakers on the back shelf, coz sometimes u can put wires on the back shelf and then u put something in yah boot and it like splts open the wires, and sometimes it can cut it out, usually happened to me while idling and taking off for some reason.....check it out , this is just a suggestion, happened to me

sounds like an earth problem when your electric fan kicks in. this would explain the change in revs when idiling.
